Strawberry Meadow Pines didn’t start as something new. It started as something worth restoring.
Several years ago, Rob and Tina Brown came across this property tucked into the pines of Strawberry, Arizona. At the time, it wasn’t what it is today. It needed work. A lot of it. But they saw something beyond its condition.
They saw what it could become.
As a family deeply rooted in their church community, their heart has always been in ministry—serving people, creating space for connection, and pointing others toward the Lord. This place felt like an extension of that calling. A place where churches, families, pastors, and small groups could step away from the noise and be intentional about their time with God.
So they stepped in and began restoring it.
What began as a restoration project quickly became something more.
Greg Schloesser was brought in early to help with repairs—fixing what was broken, restoring what had been neglected, and helping bring the property back to life. But over time, it became clear this wasn’t just a project.
It was a shared vision.
Greg and his wife Debbie stepped into that vision in a deeper way, eventually moving on-site as caretakers. What started as helping fix the place turned into helping steward it—caring for the property, welcoming guests, and continuing the work that had begun.
Today, both families play a role in what Strawberry Meadow Pines has become—a place shaped not just by ownership, but by partnership, service, and a shared heart for ministry.

Based in Queen Creek, Arizona, they’ve long been involved in their church and saw this property as more than just land—it was an opportunity. The retreat had once served a purpose, but had fallen into disrepair over time. Where others saw work, they saw potential.
They stepped in with a simple vision: restore the space and make it available for churches, families, and groups to unplug from the noise and focus on what matters most. What began as a project quickly became a calling.

Greg and Debbie serve as the on-site caretakers, faithfully caring for the property and the people who come through it.
Originally from Payson, Arizona, Greg was first brought in to help with repairs as the property was being restored. Over time, that work turned into something more. As the vision for the retreat grew, so did their role.
Today, they live on-site and help steward the day-to-day life of Strawberry Meadow Pines—from maintaining the property to preparing spaces for each group that comes in. Their work may often be behind the scenes, but it plays a key role in making this place what it is.
